Avenga is looking for a skilled NodeJS Engineer to join our team and contribute to an exciting project in the banking domain.

As a NodeJS Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering cutting-edge, high-quality solutions that address complex business challenges. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, QA engineers, product owners, and architects, to design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems.

This is you

• 5+ years of experience with Node.js
• Proficiency with NestJS framework
• Understanding of microservices and/or event-driven architectures
• Experience in deploying and managing applications on a cloud platform.
• Familiarity with Serverless Framework or any Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool.
• Knowledge of ExpressJS
• Understanding of branching models, understanding of hotfixes and feature branches
• Strong expertise in the design and consumption of RESTful APIs
• Experience working with NoSQL databases
• Knowledge and setup of monitoring and alerting tools (DataDog and Opsgenie)

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with AWS, including serverless services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, EventBridge, and DynamoDB
• Knowledge of TypeScript.

This is your role

• Model and refine specifications to define a detailed design for implementing the required functionality
• Build or adapt classes, modules, or other software components; reuse existing components and integrate them with custom code
• Verify produced programs through unit testing
• Review code to fix defects or improve quality
• Document programs according to standards—both functional and architectural documentation, as well as in-code comments
• Deliver across the entire application lifecycle: concept, design, development, implementation, testing, and support
• Maintain production applications, fix bugs, and implement new features
• Gather functional requirements and translate them into elegant functional solutions
• Build prototypes during the technical scoping phase of projects
• Optimize application performance
• Participate in defining and reviewing standards and norms applicable to design and construction
