As a Senior Design System Architect (f/m/x) within our Avenga Experience unit, you shape the structural foundation of scalable and consistent digital experiences. You take ownership of evolving and expanding design system architectures across products and platforms. 

• 5+ years of experience in design systems and UX/UI 

• Strong expertise in component architecture and scalable system design 

• Solid knowledge of governance models and documentation standards 

• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design 

• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams 

• Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across cross-functional teams and client environments 

• Professional proficiency in Figma 

• German language skills at C1 level (CEFR) to collaborate in German-speaking client environments

• English language skills at upper-intermediate level (B2) to collaborate in an international environment 

You think architecturally and act collaboratively. You understand how strong systems enable teams to work efficiently — and how structure, clarity, and alignment create sustainable impact.

You will: 

• Define and maintain design tokens and reusable components 

• Create, Expand and evolve design system architectures 

• Define governance frameworks and contribution workflows 

• Drive cross-team adoption and alignment 

• Ensure accessibility, scalability, and implementation quality 

• Create documentation and specifications for development handoff 

• Review and optimize existing components and structures 

• Facilitate effective collaboration between design and engineering 

Your work directly influences how consistently products are built and how efficiently teams collaborate.
