We're looking for an experienced PHP Developer (mid-level) to join development team and help grow and optimize key applications for a client in the telecommunications sector. This is a onsite role in Prague, so regular presence in the office is required.

This is you

• At least 3 years of professional experience in backend development using PHP
• Solid understanding of PHP 8 and experience with frameworks like Laravel and Symfony.
• Confident use of Doctrine ORM and strong command of relational databases – especially MySQL and PostgreSQL 
• Confident use of GIT – including branching strategies, pull requests, merging, and participating in code reviews.
• Experience writing unit and functional tests using PHPUnit.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SCRUM or similar)
• A true team player – communicative, collaborative, and respectful.
• Native Czech speaker, with the ability to comfortably read and understand technical documentation in English.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Exposure to Node.js (especially Nest.js) and TypeScript.
• Any front-end development experience with React and TypeScript is a definite advantage.

This is your role

• Backend Development – Writing and maintaining high-quality server-side code in PHP 8, following SOLID, DRY, and clean code principles.
• Feature Implementation – Collaborating with the team to design and deliver new features in line with business and user needs.
• Performance Optimization – Ensuring applications are fast, scalable, and stable under real-world conditions.
• Testing – Writing unit and functional tests using PHPUnit, helping maintain code quality and long-term stability.
• Database Management – Working with MySQL and PostgreSQL, including query design and optimization, ideally using Doctrine ORM.
• REST API Design – Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs for seamless integration with front-end and external systems.
