Avenga is looking for a skilled C++ Engineer to join our team full-time. Our client focuses on the development and maintenance of a comprehensive software suite for a manufacturer of large diesel engines and turbomachinery used in maritime and stationary applications.

This is you

  • Proven experience in C++ software development
  • Strong understanding of modern C++ standards (C++11/14/17/20) and object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience with GUI development using Visual Studio and Embarcadero RAD Studio
  • Familiarity with DevExpress
  • Experience with CMake for managing the software build process
  • Experience with third-party libraries and frameworks such as ACE/TAO, Boost, Catch2, fmt, Mosquitto, and Trompeloeil
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with MSI installer development, preferably using Wix
  • Proficiency in writing unit tests with Catch2 or a similar framework
  • Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation


This is your role

  • Develop and maintain software applications using modern C++ standards (C++11/14/17/20)
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements, design, and implement software solutions
  • Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces (GUIs) for applications, ensuring user-friendly features and responsive design
  • Integrate and use of third-party libraries and frameworks to enhance application functionality and accelerate development
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and identify areas for improvement
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployment processes
  • Develop and maintain MSI installers
  • Write and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design specifications, and end-user guides
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest C++ standards, technologies, and best practices
