We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence professional to join our team working on citizen security systems across Latin America. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on public safety infrastructure while working with cutting-edge data technologies in a challenging and rewarding environment.

You'll become a vital member of a specialized team dedicated to developing and maintaining critical data infrastructure for citizen security systems. Working across LATAM, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable BI solutions that support decision-making in public safety operations.

Required Skills:
5-7 years of experience in Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
Advanced data modeling for Data Warehouses: Dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas), Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), Data Vault 2.0, and normalization techniques
Strong experience with ETL/ELT tools: Talend, DataStage, PowerCenter, SSIS, Pentaho or equivalent platforms, including job management, dependencies, and error handling
Advanced SQL proficiency (T-SQL/PL/SQL/ANSI): Performance tuning, query optimization, partitions, indexes, statistics management, and best practices
Experience with orchestration tools: Apache Airflow, Control-M, Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar; pipeline development, scheduling, and monitoring
Hands-on experience with Data Warehouse platforms: On-premises, cloud, or big data environments such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Azure Synapse Analytics
Spanish: Advanced level (required)
English: Intermediate level (required)
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience in public sector or security-related projects
Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks
Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, Fivetran, etc.)
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
Understanding of real-time data processing and streaming architectures
This is your role
Design and implement robust data warehouse architectures using dimensional modeling techniques, Data Vault 2.0, and other industry-standard methodologies. Ensure data models support both current requirements and future scalability.
Build, maintain, and optimize complex ETL/ELT processes using enterprise tools. Implement efficient data pipelines with proper error handling, logging, and dependency management to ensure reliable data flows.
Analyze and tune SQL queries, implement appropriate indexing strategies, manage partitions, and optimize database statistics to ensure optimal performance of data warehouse operations.
Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using orchestration tools. Implement monitoring, alerting, and recovery mechanisms to ensure high availability and reliability of data processes.
Work with modern cloud-based data warehouse platforms to leverage scalable, cost-effective solutions. Implement best practices for cloud data management and integration.
Work closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, processes, and system architecture.
Contribute to critical citizen security systems serving communities across Latin America, ensuring data reliability, accuracy, and timely availability for public safety decision-making.
