This is you

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, primarily with Java, demonstrating the ability to tackle complex problems and influence technical decisions

• Familiarity with cloud-native application concepts and distributed systems

• Solid understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and backend system design

• Deep knowledge of software development best practices and the full SDLC

• Practiced in modern engineering fundamentals – version control, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and cloud-native patterns

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and work effectively within a team

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with additional modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, C#, Go, Python)

• Familiarity with the iLottery gaming domain

This is your role

• Deliver production-ready software end-to-end: design, build, and maintain scalable backend and/or full-stack systems that are secure, observable, and resilient

• Collaborate with distributed teams to analyze, design, and develop backend infrastructure for iLottery products

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle – from ideation to monitoring and iterative refinement

• Own code quality: write clean, well-tested, maintainable code; follow CI/CD, logging, and telemetry practices; address technical debt and continuously improve software quality

• Actively engage in code reviews, pair programming, and shared learning sessions

• Work closely with Product and Design to scope and deliver features that bring real value to users
