Within a regulated, data-driven backend context, we are actively seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual / Automation) to join a team working on the ICS solution. The role is focused on manual functional and integration testing of backend services and processing flows, with the ability to contribute to test automation where applicable. You will help ensure correctness of business logic and regulatory outputs, support UAT preparation and execution, and provide acceptance-level confidence in delivered functionality.

In your role, you’ll become a key member of a cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with developers, product stakeholders, and client representatives. You will coordinate UAT activities, validate end-to-end scenarios, and ensure that features meet acceptance criteria and are ready for sign-off—especially during UAT and stabilization phases.

This is you

• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer (manual testing of backend/integration systems and processing flows).

• 1+ year of commercial experience in test automation, including execution and maintenance of automated tests (test data, assertions).

• Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, ability to validate integration contracts and responses.

• Confident SQL skills for validating and troubleshooting data in databases.

• Familiarity with XML/XSD validation and structured data formats, including evidence-based verification of outputs.

• Experience with UAT preparation and execution (scenarios, evidence, defect reporting/retesting, coordination with stakeholders).

• Strong attention to detail, structured and methodical testing approach, proactive during stabilization phases.

• Upper-Intermediate English level (written and verbal) with good communication and documentation skills for working with developers and client representatives.

Nice-to-have skills

• Hands-on experience maintaining automated tests (assertions, test data, test stability).

• Familiarity with resilience/failure testing approaches and validation of non-happy paths.

• Experience validating observability features (monitoring signals, audit trails) at verification/smoke level.
  

This is your role

• Perform manual functional and integration testing of backend services and processing flows.

• Validate regulatory data processing, including ingestion, conversion, batching, and XML/XSD outputs.

• Execute and validate UAT scenarios, including late data, corrections, and end-to-end workflows.

• Prepare and manage test cases, test data, and execution evidence aligned with acceptance requirements.

• Support UAT execution: defect reporting, retesting/verification, and coordination with the client.

• Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and unexpected system behavior.

• Participate in resilience testing, validating system behavior during controlled failure scenarios.
