In Sofia we are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with at least 3+ years of experience in accounting and IFRS to join our team. The role focuses on invoice processing, payment execution, expense tracking, reconciliations, and supporting month-end closing activities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with tax, insurance, and accounting legislation while maintaining accuracy and high-quality financial records.

The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and effective collaboration with finance, procurement, vendors, and auditors. We are looking for a motivated and positive professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment.

This is you

• University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economy or any related field

• 3+ years experience in the field of Accounting and IFRS

• Knowledge of tax, insurance, accounting legislation

• Attention to detail with commitment to high quality and accuracy

• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, multitask and achieve objectives within committed timeframes

• Computer literacy (MS Office)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated, positive attitude

• Fluent in English language (written and spoken)

This is your role

• Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Payment Processing: Prepare and execute payments to suppliers via bank transfers, credit cards, or other approved methods.

• Expense Tracking: Monitor and reconcile company expenses, ensuring correct allocation of costs.

• Reconciliations: Perform monthly accounts payable reconciliations and assist in closing financial periods.

• Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, finance, and management teams to improve processes

• System & Reporting: Utilize accounting software to manage transactions and generate reports as required.

• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and coordination with other team members on progress

• Archive and process documentation

• Supporting Internal and External Audit processes

• Communication with employees, vendors and institutions
