We are looking for an AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deliver a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) system that validates the use of Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and Automatic Identification System (AIS) data for detecting intrusions near subsea communication cables.
The solution will analyze acoustic signals from fiber-optic sensing systems together with vessel tracking data to identify potential threats to critical underwater infrastructure. The goal is to provide early warning capabilities, enabling timely intervention and protection of subsea assets.
This is you
Strong experience in Machine Learning / AI development
Strong programming skills in Python
Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn
Experience working with time-series data or signal processing
Experience building ML pipelines for data processing and model training
Knowledge of anomaly detection and pattern recognition techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team

Design and develop machine learning models for analyzing DAS acoustic signals and AIS vessel tracking data
Build a PoC system for intrusion detection around subsea communication cables
Develop data processing pipelines for large-scale sensor and geospatial data
Implement algorithms for anomaly detection and event classification
Integrate multi-source data (DAS + AIS) for improved detection accuracy
Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model evaluation
