We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our team. The client provides core services and high-quality solutions for a large-scale online platform and everything related to the online banking system, integrating externally developed components into existing application environments.
As a Senior Java developer, you will be working on an online banking system together with an international team of top developers. You will also take part in setting standards, establishing guidelines, and sharing best practices in order to ensure continuous learning and development.
This is you
7+ years of professional experience in Java backend development
Strong proficiency in Spring Boot
Solid experience with Apache Kafka
Expertise in Hibernate and MySQL 8
Familiarity with Kubernetes, GitLab, CI/CD (e.g., Harness)
Knowledge of microservice architecture
Demonstrated initiative and responsibility
Effective teamwork, supporting colleagues and contributing to common goals
English — Upper-Intermediate level
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience with AWS (covering S3, RDS, Lambda, Airflow)
Familiarity with monitoring tools: Grafana, DataDog
Experience in financial technologies (FinTech) is a plus
This is your role
Write clean, maintainable, test-covered code and work with our product team
Do strong code reviews, ensuring not only best practices and business rules, but also performance, security, impact on other features or projects, and always with respectful and constructive communication
Work within your team to negotiate and document standards and practices in software development
Research and shape multiple alternative technical solutions when possible
Assume end-to-end ownership of the team projects' delivery
Manage the technical documentation in your team
Participate in the hiring process with techfit interviews and tech challenge reviews
Use engineering skill sets in a business organization to drive meaningful business impact by looking at problems through an operational lens
Self-identify gaps, problems, and needs, and create robust solutions with relative freedom
