Avenga’s AdTech practice helps companies navigate one of the most complex and fast-moving technology landscapes in digital business. We work with publishers, retailers, fintechs, and media companies to define their advertising technology vision and bring it to life.
We’re looking for a Senior AdTech Consultant (f/m/x) who brings a deep understanding of the AdTech ecosystem, can confidently engage with clients, challenge assumptions in a constructive way, frame the right problems, and shape a credible path forward before any implementation begins.
This is not a campaign management or media buying role. It is a strategic advisory position at the intersection of business ambition and advertising technology.
This is you
8+ years of experience in AdTech, digital advertising strategy, or related consulting, with hands-on exposure to the programmatic ecosystem.
Strong working knowledge of the AdTech landscape, including DSP, SSP, Ad Server, CDP/DMP, programmatic fundamentals, and measurement and attribution frameworks.
Experience leading client-facing conversations at a strategic level, beyond platform demonstrations or technical support.
Ability to translate complex AdTech concepts into clear, business-oriented language for non-technical stakeholders.
A structured and analytical mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, frame problems, define options, and develop recommendations.
A background in one or more of the following areas: AdTech or MarTech consultancy, digital media agency strategy, AdTech product or solution roles, or in-house advertising technology teams.
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience with Retail Media Networks, Commerce Media, or Payment Media monetization models.
Exposure to AI-driven advertising, personalization, or decisioning systems.
Experience in a consulting or advisory environment working with advertising technology clients.
Familiarity with first-party data strategies, identity solutions, or privacy-focused advertising approaches.
This is your role
Lead discovery engagements with senior client stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Sales, Data, and Technology.
Support clients in articulating their advertising vision, monetization ambitions, and capability gaps, and translate business goals into AdTech roadmaps and MVP scopes.
Advise on strategic trade-offs across DSP, SSP, Ad Server, Retail Media, and Payment Media models, including walled-garden versus open ecosystem approaches and build-versus-buy decisions.
Shape first-party data and CDP/DMP strategies within a privacy-first landscape.
Produce high-quality consulting outputs, including executive recommendations, MVP option frameworks, capability maps, and high-level architecture direction.
Support pre-sales activities by shaping credible, business-led narratives and proposals around AdTech solutions.
Bridge business intent and technical delivery by working closely with AdTech architects and engineers to ensure scope and client expectations are aligned before build phases begin.
