In Argentina (Córdoba or Buenos Aires), within the financial industry, we are seeking a Senior Node.js Engineer to join the technology team of a leading bank. The successful candidate will design and implement scalable serverless architectures and develop resilient, maintainable services using AWS.
This is you
5+ years of hands-on development with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript;
Extensive background with databases (relational and/or NoSQL) across multiple projects;
Strong experience with software testing and quality assurance (unit, integration, end-to-end);
Practical knowledge of AWS services and building/operating applications in AWS;
Experience with serverless architectures: CloudFormation, AWS SAM, or the Serverless Framework;
Strong collaboration and mentoring skills; experience coordinating tasks across teams;
Languages: Spanish — native; English — intermediate.
Nice-to-have skills:
Familiarity with tools: Jira, Confluence, Visual Studio Code, terminal/CLI, Postman, VirtualBox, Git, GitLab;
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab CI or similar;
Observability experience: logging, metrics, tracing, and SRE practices;
Prior experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, or containerization beyond VirtualBox (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
This is your role
Design and implement reusable, maintainable, and well-documented Node.js software components;
Architect solutions that make it easy to add future functionality and extensions;
Help design and operate deployments using AWS and serverless patterns; ensure safe rollout and rollback procedures;
Write and maintain automated tests and support test-driven development practices;
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive fixes and postmortems;
Contribute to documentation (design docs, runbooks, Confluence pages) and maintain a clear record of architectural decisions;
Mentor and support colleagues by sharing knowledge, conducting pair programming or brown-bag sessions, and promoting continuous learning;
Participate in and uphold best practices during code reviews, giving constructive feedback.
