We’re looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Engineer based in Argentina (only Buenos Aires/CABA or AMBA) to design and build scalable microservices on AWS. You'll be working in modern AWS environments, developing microservices and REST APIs using Node.js and TypeScript, while leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and solution quality. This is you
6+ years working with Node.js (JavaScript and TypeScript);
5+ years of exposure to relational (RDS or similar) and NoSQL (DynamoDB or similar) databases;
3+ years of hands-on practice with AWS services: Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and EKS;
Strong expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs and distributed services;
Practical familiarity with CloudFormation, AWS SAM, or the Serverless Framework;
Hands-on background in Agile environments (SCRUM and/or Kanban), including using Jira;
Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end development, documentation, and deployment risk management;
Native Spanish and intermediate English;
Work model: Hybrid, with one mandatory on-site day per week for alignment and co-creation sessions.
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience working with AI tools and their practical application in software development;
Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery tools and workflows (GitLab CI/CD).
This is your role
Replace legacy integrations by building modern Node.js (TypeScript) services and migrating functionality to AWS;
Contribute to the design and architecture of APIs and distributed services that enable system scalability and reliability;
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code for services, deployments, and environment provisioning;
Design and interact with relational and NoSQL data stores, ensuring data integrity, performance, and appropriate indexing/partitioning strategies;
Integrate code into CI/CD pipelines, manage deployment processes, and mitigate release risks;
Participate in incident management and postmortems; propose and implement remediation to reduce recurrence;
Mentor junior and mid-level developers, run technical knowledge-sharing sessions, and foster team best practices;
Collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams during one weekly on-site alignment/co-creation session and through regular remote touchpoints.
