The Senior SAP FI/CO Functional Consultant will lead the financial architectural design and implementation of Global E-Invoicing and E-Taxation mandates across Middle Europe (MEU) and Middle East & Africa (MEA). This role focuses on ensuring that financial accounting and controlling processes (S/4HANA Finance) are compliant with the multi-year digital tax roadmap , including ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age) and regional real-time reporting requirements. This role is critical for ensuring that finance and controlling processes remain compliant with local tax, trade, and reporting laws while maintaining cross-functional integration. In particular, It focuses on ensuring that finance and controlling processes (FI, CO) comply with rapidly evolving digital tax laws.

This is you

• Legal & Regulatory Compliance (MEU/MEA):

  • Implement country-specific mandates, such as e-invoicing (Zakat/ZATCA in Saudi Arabia), VAT reporting, and Intrastat filings for EU member states .

  • Configure FI/CO to meet local billing requirements, including tax determination and legal output forms.

  • Oversee FI (Finance) compliance regarding vendor master data management and localized procurement and sales processes.

• FI/CO Solution Design:

  • FI (Financial Accounting): Configure New General Ledger (G/L), Accounts

  Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) to handle structured electronic

  formats

  • Tax Engine Integration: Refine Tax on Sales/Purchases (FI-TX) codes and

  integrate with external tax engines

  • CO (Controlling): Ensure that e-invoicing data flows accurately into Cost Center Accounting and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) without disrupting margin reporting.

  • Conduct gap analysis between global templates and local legal needs, designing custom RICEFW objects where necessary.

• Integration & Quality Assurance:

  • Manage complex integrations with local systems and external government

  portals via EDI/IDoc.

  • Lead end-to-end testing phases (Unit, Integration, and UAT) to ensure

  compliance with legal and system standards via INT4 and Tricentis Tosca

  platforms.

  • Support data migration of master data and open transactions, ensuring

  integrity and adherence to audit trails.

• Audit & Reporting:

  • Establish "Single Source of Truth" reporting to ensure reconciliations between SAP financial records and government-cleared tax data.

  • Design and maintain SAF-T (Standard Audit File for Tax) outputs for countries requiring granular transactional exports.

  • Oversee the end-to-end testing of Continuous Transaction Controls (CTC) to prevent financial discrepancies during real-time clearance.

  Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience: 10+ years as an SAP FI/CO Consultant with at least three full-cycle implementations involving complex tax localization.

• Module Expertise:

  • SAP FI: Deep knowledge of G/L, AR/AP, Fixed Assets, and Bank Accounting.

  • SAP CO: Proficiency in Overhead Cost Controlling and Product Costing.

  • SAP DRC: Hands-on experience with the Document and Reporting Compliance framework is desired.

• Regulatory Knowledge:

  • MEU: Expert-level understanding of EU VAT directives and national electronic reporting standards (e.g., XRechnung, KSeF).

  • MEA: Experience with ZATCA (Saudi Arabia) Phase 2 and the UAE's upcoming E - Invoicing System (EES).

• Nice to have

  • SAP Certification in FI, CO, or S/4HANA Finance is a strong plus.

  • Specialized certifications in SAP Tax Compliance or DRC are highly preferred.
