In CABA/AMBA within the Fintech industry, we are looking for a Middle QA Analyst (Quality Specialist) who will ensure that the business value expected by the client is delivered by maintaining control over all stages of the process. Acting as the bridge between technical understanding and full business knowledge, you will bring an end-to-end vision to quality: expand test coverage, plan with a business mindset, and generate insights that support product decisions. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on backend and API quality for payment and commerce features.
This is you
2-3+ years of hands-on experience designing, planning, executing, and maintaining quality for backend products;
Solid knowledge of testing types: functional, non-functional, regression, smoke, performance, and pentesting;
Strong understanding of quality strategies: Agile Testing, product mindset, risk-based testing, early testing, test plans, test design, regression criteria, BDD/TDD concepts;
Proven experience with backend/API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI;
Experience testing on AWS (or other cloud platforms) and familiarity with cloud resources and logs;
Strong skills in reporting and defect tracking using issue trackers;
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams;
Spanish: native; English: intermediate;
Location: Buenos Aires (CABA or AMBA); ability to work on-site or hybrid as required.
Nice-to-have skills:
Advanced student or graduate in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields;
Knowledge of non-relational databases (specifically AWS DynamoDB);
Experience reviewing logs, executing batch processes, and validating databases;
Knowledge of backend test automation.
This is your role
Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to define test scope and acceptance criteria;
Design, plan, and execute manual test cases for backend and API features;
Perform backend testing: API validation, database verification, log review, batch processes, and data integrity checks;
Report, track, and communicate quality metrics and defects to stakeholders;
Implement risk-based and early testing strategies; prioritize test coverage based on business impact;
Maintain and improve test documentation, test plans, and regression criteria;
Provide actionable insights from test results to support release decisions.
