We are looking for a Cash Application Specialist to join a fast-paced and collaborative finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate AR records, supporting collections activities, and ensuring timely resolution of payment-related inquiries.
This is you
1–3 years of experience in cash applications or accounts receivable.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong verbal and written client-facing communication skills.
Strong computer skills, especially in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
English level - Upper-Intermediate or higher.
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience working in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.
Familiarity with Intacct, Stripe, Paya, Braintree, Zendesk, and Salesforce.
This is your role
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer AR balances, including payment and credit applications.
Process daily ACH payments and check deposits, reconciling entries and identifying variances.
Post and apply payments while updating daily bank reporting spreadsheets.
Contact customers to obtain payment remittances, clarify remittance instructions, and follow up on failed payments when needed.
Monitor email and Zendesk queues to respond to customer inquiries and provide requested banking information.
Assist with collections-related activities and ad hoc finance requests.
Review AR aging reports and investigate unapplied credits.
Maintain detailed tracking of unapplied funds and investigate outstanding balances.
