In Sofia we are looking for a skilled Senior Java Engineer to join a large-scale banking project. This role combines hands-on Java development with cloud infrastructure ownership, offering the opportunity to work on modern banking solutions in an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java technologies, cloud platforms, containerized environments, and CI/CD processes, along with the ability to provide technical guidance on infrastructure and application architecture.

Note: Some office visits may be required

This is you

• Strong experience with Java EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.

• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, and Maven.

• Hands-on experience with OpenShift and cloud environments, preferably Azure Cloud.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as TeamCity and TFS.

• Experience with Oracle Database.

• Familiarity with Tomcat and JSF.

• Understanding of containerized and cloud-native architectures.

• Experience providing technical guidance on infrastructure and application architecture.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional Agile teams.

• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with Kubernetes administration and architecture.

• Previous experience in banking or financial services environments.

• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements within regulated industries.

• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.

This is your role

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise banking applications using Java technologies.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle within an Agile environment.

• Manage and administer cloud-native infrastructure, including OpenShift environments and CI/CD platforms.

• Provide technical consulting and expertise for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes-based platforms, and Spring Boot REST applications.

• Define and support cloud architecture and infrastructure best practices.

• Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.

• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
