Avenga is looking for an experienced Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our team full-time in Bratislava. This is a long-term opportunity supporting a major banking client in the migration of an internal branch application platform.

The project focuses on modernizing and enhancing critical internal banking applications while participating in a strategic platform migration initiative. You will work within an agile environment, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of new features while ensuring high-quality software delivery.

This is you

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Fullstack Software Engineer.

• Strong experience with Java/J2EE 11+ (minimum 5 years).

• Hands-on experience with Quarkus.

• Solid frontend development experience using React and TypeScript.

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL databases.

• Experience working with JMS and Kafka messaging systems.

• Practical experience designing and consuming REST APIs.

• Good knowledge of XML, Maven, and Git.

• Experience working with AWS cloud services.

• Knowledge of Keycloak for identity and access management.

• Experience using GitHub Copilot and modern development tools.

• Previous banking industry experience is mandatory.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

• Flexible mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

• Experience working in Agile software development environments.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Czech: Advanced level.

This is your role

• Develop and implement new features for internal branch banking applications.

• Participate in the migration of existing applications to a modern platform architecture.

• Independently analyze, design, and resolve technical tasks.

• Collaborate closely with architects, developers, testers, and business stakeholders.

• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.

• Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the development lifecycle.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production and development issues efficiently.

• Maintain technical documentation and ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
