In your role, you'll become a vital member of a team of skilled professionals focused on building high-availability, low-latency cloud solutions. Your primary responsibility will involve developing and maintaining microservices on a 100% Serverless architecture, while actively contributing to the progressive migration of our legacy systems to AWS Cloud. This is you
5+ years of experience working with Node.js.
Strong hands-on experience deploying and monitoring Serverless architectures on AWS.
Solid knowledge of key AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, DynamoDB, and S3.
2+ years of experience utilizing Serverless Framework as Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Deep understanding of the Node.js Event Loop and handling of asynchronous/blocking operations.
Familiarity with document-oriented NoSQL databases, specifically DynamoDB using single-table design for cloud persistence.
Experience with microservices and a strong understanding of distributed architecture patterns or workflow orchestration (such as Step Functions).
Experience defining metrics, alerts, and dashboards in monitoring tools like Datadog or Grafana to ensure high availability and performance.
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience or familiarity with NestJS.
ackground in backend development with Java (Microservices / Java 8 or Java 21).
Knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server.
Familiarity with containerized environments like OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
This is your role
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices and Lambda functions using Node.js / NestJS on a Serverless AWS infrastructure.
Work closely with the team on the progressive migration and refactoring of legacy systems (Java) to modern cloud architectures, reducing technical debt without impacting live business operations.
Design and implement robust synchronous and asynchronous data flows leveraging API Gateway, SQS, and event-driven patterns.
Promote serverless best practices, including decoupled architecture principles, cold-start optimization, cost management, and security.
Collaborate on technical architecture decisions, conduct constructive code reviews, and foster a strong engineering culture.
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Participate in the onboarding process and provide mentorship/support for new team members when needed.
