As a Senior Technical Project Manager (f/m/x) at Avenga, you will lead complex software and platform implementation projects for a strategic telecommunications customer in Germany.
You will work in a technically demanding environment shaped by telco cloud, virtualization, infrastructure, and platform integration. Your focus will be to connect customer expectations with technical delivery capabilities and ensure structured, reliable project execution.
The project is planned for an initial duration of one year, with strong potential for extension.
The role can be based in Germany or elsewhere in EMEA, provided you bring fluent German skills, experience working with German customers, and travel availability when needed. Availability for customer meetings in Germany is required; regular travel readiness is considered a strong plus.

You are a Senior Technical Project Manager with strong experience in the telecommunications industry and a solid understanding of complex technical delivery environments.
You are confident in customer-facing roles and know how to build trust with key stakeholders, manage expectations, communicate technical risks clearly, and keep complex projects moving in a structured way.
You bring:
Proven experience managing complex technical projects in telecommunications, software delivery, telco cloud, virtualization, infrastructure, or platform integration
Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills, ideally in projects with major telecommunications providers or enterprise customers
Experience working with distributed, cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Management, Professional Services, architecture, DevOps, and delivery
The ability to translate customer requirements, high-level designs, integration specifications, and technical dependencies into clear project plans
Strong risk and issue management capabilities
A proactive, structured, and solution-oriented working style
Ideally, familiarity with technologies such as VMware or similar virtualization platforms, Red Hat OpenStack, OpenShift, Wind River platforms, telco cloud, cloud-native infrastructure, or comparable enterprise infrastructure environments
Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
This is your role
In this role, you will serve as the primary project interface between Avenga, partner-side teams, internal technical teams, and the end customer.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the end-to-end lifecycle of telecommunications software and platform implementation projects
Acting as the main customer-facing contact for project-related communication
Managing scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations
Translating customer requirements, high-level designs, and integration specifications into actionable delivery plans
Coordinating Engineering, Product Management, Professional Services, architecture, DevOps, and delivery teams
Providing clear and professional status updates to customer-side and internal stakeholders
Ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and in line with agreed expectations
Supporting project success in a demanding telecommunications and infrastructure environment
