We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations while contributing to frontend development when needed. This is a hands-on engineering role with significant ownership, where you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, high-performance applications and influence technical decisions across the platform.
The ideal candidate is a backend-oriented engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, designing scalable systems, and delivering end-to-end features while comfortably contributing across the full stack.
This is you
8+ years of commercial software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development.
Extensive experience with Node.js in production environments.
Strong experience with React and component-based frontend development.
Expert knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs.
Strong understanding of data modeling and experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms.
Strong understanding of backend architecture, scalability, performance optimization, and reliability.
Experience writing unit and integration tests for backend services.
Solid experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Ability to independently own and deliver complex backend features from design to production.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
Strong communication skills and attention to software quality.
Upper-Intermediate (B2) English or higher.
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience with HTML, CSS, and responsive web development.
Experience consuming APIs from frontend applications.
Familiarity with component libraries and design systems.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with frontend testing tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.
Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) and SEO principles.
Experience integrating AI-powered capabilities or Large Language Model (LLM) APIs into web applications, including chat, summarization, search, or AI-assisted workflows.
This is your role
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.
Design and evolve RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs supporting modern web applications.
Implement business logic, data models, and service integrations.
Build reliable, secure, and scalable backend solutions with a focus on performance and maintainability.
Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end functionality and contribute to React development when required.
Participate in architecture discussions and influence technical direction and engineering decisions.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and non-production issues.
Participate in code reviews and continuously improve engineering quality.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies and collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver business value.
