We are seeking a proficient Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of an AI/ML-based fraud detection system for a leading financial institution in Panama.

This role is ideal for a seasoned technical leader who thrives at the intersection of AI/ML innovation, financial technology, and cross-cultural collaboration.

This is you

• 5+ years of experience in technical project management;
• Familiarity with AI/ML, fraud detection, or data-driven platforms;
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and system integration;
  
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects;
  
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills;
• Experience working with offshore teams, particularly in India;
• Fluent in Spanish and English (both written and spoken).

Nice-to-have skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum Master certification;
• Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services;
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, and cloud environments;
• Previous experience in account management or pre-sales roles.

This is your role

• Drive end-to-end delivery of an AI/ML fraud detection system, from initiation through deployment;
• Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and success metrics;
  
• Lead sprint planning, backlog management, and agile ceremonies;
  
• Track progress, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery within budget;
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers to ensure solution quality and feasibility;
  
• Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and specifications;
  
• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and identify new business opportunities within the account.
