Our Growth organization is looking for an exceptional Business Development Director to join our global community of experts. In this role, you will build strategic relationships with new and existing enterprise clients, drive client satisfaction, and deliver revenue growth for Avenga. You’ll operate as a senior hunter–farmer focused on the Industrials sector, primarily responsible for the DACH region, with flexibility to support strategic opportunities beyond DACH.

- A senior hunter–farmer who opens new enterprise logos and expands existing accounts into long-term, multi-million-dollar partnerships.
- A proven closer with a track record of complex services wins, including $10M+ TCV deals and multi-year expansions.
- An expert in consultative, value-led selling (prospecting, discovery, qualification, executive alignment, solution shaping, negotiation, and close) and ensuring long-term client satisfaction.
- Fluent in the business/technology challenges facing Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Logistics, and Travel & Hospitality (e.g., smart factory/IoT modernization, predictive maintenance, supply chain visibility & resilience).
- Comfortable leading cross-functional pursuit teams in a matrixed professional services environment.
- Experienced in selling public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), custom application development, product/platform engineering, data/AI, Big Data, digital experience, eCommerce, or IT consulting into net-new and existing accounts.
- Adept at C-level engagement, building trusted-advisor relationships with senior business and technology executives.
- Educated to degree level (Master’s preferred) and able to connect business and technology strategy into a compelling transformation vision.
- Based in or familiar with DACH markets; fluent in German and English for executive conversations.
This is your role
- Own and exceed revenue targets within a defined territory/vertical by selling Avenga’s portfolio of digital consulting, product engineering, data/AI, cloud, and managed services across both existing accounts and new logo acquisition.
- Oversee the DACH region: develop regional go-to-market plans, drive pipeline creation, cultivate executive relationships, and represent Avenga at key industry events while also supporting selected strategic accounts/opportunities across EMEA and globally.
- Grow existing accounts: serve as executive sponsor, ensure renewals, drive cross-sell/up-sell, expand into new business units/regions, and secure references; run joint account planning with Delivery and Customer Success.
- Build and manage a disciplined pipeline; maintain forecast accuracy and opportunity progression in CRM (quarterly and annual).
- Map and engage all key decision-makers and influencers (business, technology, finance, procurement, legal) within target accounts.
- Lead commercial structuring and negotiations, partnering closely with Legal, Finance, Delivery, and executive leadership.
- Orchestrate pursuits end-to-end, coordinating solution architects, delivery leaders, SMEs, Marketing, Customer Success, and Account Management to win strategic deals across Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Logistics, and Travel & Hospitality.
- Run QBRs and governance with clients to align outcomes, delivery, and growth, identifying expansion opportunities and mitigating risk.
- Develop and execute an annual territory + account plan: targeted prospecting, ABM/marketing activation, partner co-selling, and new logo opening.
- Tell the story: deliver compelling, executive-ready narratives on Avenga’s value propositions, capabilities, case studies, and measurable outcomes.
- Travel as needed (primarily within DACH/Europe, up to ~50%).
