Your safety matters: watch out for hiring scams
Recruitment scams
Incidents of false claims made to recruit on behalf of organizations, or even identity theft of recruiters to contact potential candidates, are on the rise. The perpetrators' goal is usually to get their victims to disclose personal or financial details or to perform work with no adequate remuneration. Some scams can be difficult to spot because perpetrators use information they find online to create convincing job offers.
How we operate:
- At Avenga, we follow a formal recruitment process in which personal conversations (either in person or via video conference) play a vital part.
- Any type of relationship is established by a written contract signed by both parties.
- We provide all our employees with the equipment they need on their first day of work.
- For both employees and business partners, we will never ask them to pay in advance for anything, such as hardware, insurance, or work permits.
- All payments for services or wages are processed via bank transfers. No cryptocurrencies or cash are used.
- The only correct domain for Avenga recruitment is www.avenga.com.
Red flags that suggest a potential recruitment scam:
- You are asked for money, crypto-currency or unnecessary personal information.
- You are directed to a website that cannot be found under our domain www.avenga.com.
- Your conversations with the alleged Avenga recruiter are not direct and in-person but only via WhatsApp, other chat or e-mail.
- You are promised a wage or a remuneration for your service to be paid in crypto-currency or cash.
- You are asked for a work that is not in line with law or ethical rules, such as campaign to damage of reputation of a company or person, gain of illegal information, etc. We are always acting in line with our Code of Ethics!
In case of doubt, please always contact the responsible recruiter, whom you will find at the end of each job post.
